Glycerinated

An aqueous extract containing 50% glycerin. Glycerin acts as both a stabilizing and bacteriostatic agent. Glycerinated extracts have a longer shelf-life, due to these stabilizing properties. In high concentrations, glycerin has been reported to cause pain on injection. Dilution of the glycerinated extract can reduce viscosity , thereby alleviating injection discomfort.
